Artist Notes -

Frank never cut my hair, but I’m not a gent! I do remember him being generous with letting me tuck myself in at the back of his barbershop and draw, while he snipped away, looking off into the distance of Rundle Street. Frank cut hair for 65 years in Adelaide’s East End, starting the year her arrived with his family from Sicily, in 1957 aged 17. This drawing was in his Rundle Street barbershop, which in 1995 sat opposite Alfresco’s and The Falafel House.
